On Saturday morning, Grandpa and Matthew tried a little fishing. Matthew thinks this is the biggest fish he's ever caught!
Meanwhile, Haleigh found time to empty a few cabinets.
Oh my, what have I done?
Don't worry, Granny, I'll clean it up.
Sweet Ella had a snooze in her swing. Don't you love her new bow?
Ted, Cheryl, and the girls decided to come on Sunday afternoon, and it cleared off enough for a little time in the lake. Sam and her cousin Briana took a ride on the paddle boat.
Andrew cooked the Father's Day burgers.
Haleigh and Darci supervised.
Margaret and her family came to join us as well, and she was anxious to take a dip in the lake.
Boomie watched the activity on the dock. Happy Father's Day, Dad!
Nathan, Dave, and Margaret tried out the paddle boat.
After supper, we took a little cruise on the pontoon boat. Darci and Ella enjoyed the ride.
Andrew and Haleigh.
Margaret and Nathan liked the view from the back seat
Matthew did some cheesin' for the camera.
Nathan and Matthew got to help Jim pilot the boat.
More cheesin'.
Haleigh on the lookout.
Back at the house, Margaret did some posing on the stairs.
Hello dahling!
We took some time to celebrate Jamalyn's birthday with the requested dessert. It's called Punch Bowl Trifle, and if you google it, you'll find that it's very easy to make. And rather impressive looking. I'll have to share the recipe here sometime.
Margaret helps her mommy Jamalyn enjoy the birthday singing.
How did I get in a picture??
Nathan thought two sets of headphones worked better than one. Whatever makes you happy, buddy.
Margaret and Matthew enjoyed their own electronic games. It was a good way to pass the time until the rain stopped.
When it did stop, they headed for the lake. Margaret tried out the boat raft.
Matthew thought it would be a good idea to try it tandem with the paddles.
Haleigh was tickled watching all the splashing.
Margaret wasn't sure about the arrangement, but they eventually got going.
Of course, they couldn't go too far, since they were tied to the dock. :)
