Hello out there! It's been a while since I've had a chance to put a post together here on the blog. It is always best to choose living life over recording it. :) In any case, it's a busy season, and we are finally getting around to making things look a little bit more like Christmas around here. Since we enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner the Sunday after Thanksgiving, we waited until yesterday to get our tree. I thought by now, everyone would have theirs already and the tree farm wouldn't be crowded. I was wrong.
It was a pretty day, and the parking lot was full of families ready to ride the wagon out to the hills in search of the perfect tree. Jim and I had three special little helpers with us, and I pointed to the wagon suggesting that we ride out and saw down a tree. Jim quickly pointed to the pre-cut trees beside the shed, and our quest was instantly simplified. :)
We didn't traipse though the mud, but we did manage to look over a few trees...
until we came to an agreement that this was the one.
Haleigh said it was the perfect tree!
all the loose needles off.
Measure twice...
cut once.
Steve has some careful supervision while he cuts the bottom off so it will fit in the living room.
Almost done!
And thanks to some expert decorating help, it is transformed from a plain evergreen to a beautiful Christmas tree! How lovely are your branches!
